The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Guangsha Lions' (27-20) home victory over 7th ranked Aviators (25-21) in Hangzhou 103-99 on Saturday. Guangsha Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Aviators were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center Jinqiu Hu (210-97) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Minghui Sun (192-96) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Zijie Shen (210-97) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds and American guard Askia Booker (186-93, college: Colorado) added 22 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Aviators. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Guangsha Lions moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shandong H. Loser Aviators keep the seventh position with 21 games lost. Guangsha Lions will face Loongs (#15) in Taiyuan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aviators will play at home against Blue Whales (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
