Regular Season Round 46: Kawasaki BT - Shiga L-Stars 75-67

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (16-30) lost to third ranked Toshiba Thunders (33-14) in Kanagawa 67-75 on Saturday. Toshiba Thunders looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Spanish Pablo Aguilar (203-89) notched 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-91) supported him with 18 points and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists by American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for Shiga L-Stars. Kevin Hareyama (191-93) added 19 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Toshiba Thunders have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 33-14 record behind leader Tochigi B. Shiga L-Stars lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 30 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will again meet at home Shiga L-Stars (#7) in the next round. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round.
