Very significant was Taiwan Beer's (#1, 27-1) victory against 4th placed Jutai Techn. (9-18) 63-56. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Taiwan Beer made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward JD Miller (203-96, college: TCU) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. The former international Po-Hsun Chou (197-91) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Jordan Caroline (201-96, college: Nevada) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds and center Hong-Xing Wu (203-88) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Taiwan Beer. Defending champion maintains first place with 27-1 record. Loser Jutai Techn. keeps the fourth position with 18 games lost. Taiwan Beer will meet bottom-ranked Pauian (#5) in the next round. Jutai Techn. will play against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
