Regular Season Round 47: Fukushima - Saga B. 69-103

The game in Fukushima supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Saga B. (26-21) played at the court of 6th ranked Fukushima (19-25). Saga B. smashed Fukushima 103-69 on Monday. Saga B. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Fukushima's 32 and made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Saga B. forced 24 Fukushima turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Reon Shibuta (175-98) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 assists. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) accounted for 20 points, 6 assists and 8 steals for the winning side. Five Saga B. players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Shota Kanno (187-92) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for Fukushima in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saga B. maintains third place with 26-21 record having three points less than leader Gunma. Fukushima lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 25 games lost. Saga B. will meet Tokyo Z (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Fukushima will play against Aomori W. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
