No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sendai 89ers (26-17) smashed at home 7th ranked Aomori W. (6-38) 91-65. They outrebounded Aomori W. 42-29 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sendai 89ers players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American swingman LeBryan Nash (201-92, college: OK State) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and guard Reiju Sasakura (187-97) supported him with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. Even 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks by American forward Daniel Orton (209-90, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Aomori W.. Spanish-Dominican Orlando Sanchez (206-88, college: St.John's) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Sendai 89ers maintains fourth position with 26-17 record. Aomori W. at the other side keeps the seventh place with 38 games lost. Sendai 89ers' next round opponent will be again Aomori W.
