Regular Season Round 39: DB Promy - SK Knights 78-90

There was a minor upset in Wonju where their close opponent DB Promy (18-28) was defeated by ninth ranked SK Knights (18-27) 90-78 on Saturday. SK Knights made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American Nick Minnerath (207-88, college: Detroit) who scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Youngjun An (195-95) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four SK Knights players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international center Jongkyu Kim (207-91) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Yante Maten (203-96, college: Georgia) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to eighth place. Loser DB Promy keeps the ninth position with 28 games lost. SK Knights will face league's second-placed Mobis Phoebus in Ulsan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. DB Promy will play at home against ET Land (#5) and hope to win that game.
