There was a minor upset in Ishikawa where 8th ranked Kanazawa (5-11) was defeated by tenth ranked Tokyo HT (3-9) 81-72 on Saturday. Tokyo HT dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa's 28. American-Thailand power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and naturalized American point guard Samuel Sawaji (186-90) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Kohei Takahashi (197-96) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT moved-up to ninth place. Kanazawa lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Tokyo HT will face bottom-ranked Saitama (#11) on the road in the next round.
