Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Astana Tigers and 6th ranked MBJSM had identical 10-12 record. This time Astana Tigers used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Almaty 88-75 on Saturday night. Astana Tigers forced 24 MBJSM turnovers. The former international forward Rauan Tutkishova (178-91) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international center Anna Vinokurova (192-92) accounted for 21 points and 10 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four Astana Tigers players scored in double figures. Forward Karina Olenberg (179-98) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds and power forward Makpal Nusipova (182-99) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively for MBJSM in the defeat. Astana Tigers have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion (11-12) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kazygurt. MBJSM lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost.
