Second Stage Round 7: Turan - Kazygurt 60-75

The game between Top Four teams took place in Turkistan. Their biggest opponent host Turan (16-5) lost to third ranked Kazygurt (11-10) 75-60. Kazygurt outrebounded Turan 40-28 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Tamara Yagodkina (181-90) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Oksana Bagmet (168-96) accounted for 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Kazygurt players scored in double figures. The former international forward Zalina Kurazova (188-85) came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Oksana Ivanova (188-90) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Turan in the defeat. Kazygurt maintains third place with 11-10 record having seven points less than leader MBJSM, which they share with Irtysh. Turan at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Kazygurt will play against Irtysh (#4) in Pavlodar in the next round. Turan will play at home against the league's leader Kaspiy Aktau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
