Regular Season Round 44: Gunma - Fukushima 100-89

B2 League top team - Gunma (40-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Fukushima (19-22) 100-89. Gunma made 25-of-31 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Fukushima turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-90, college: Miami, FL) who scored 21 points and 7 assists. The other American import power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) chipped in 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: NM State) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) added 16 points and 10 assists respectively for the guests. Five Gunma and four Fukushima players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gunma have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 40-3 record. Fukushima lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 22 games lost. Gunma's next round opponent will be again Fukushima (#6) at home where they are favorite.
