Regular Season Round 40: Kagawa FA - Fukushima 75-86

There was a minor upset in Takamatsu where their close opponent Kagawa FA (17-23) was defeated by sixth ranked Fukushima (19-18) 86-75 on Saturday. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Shota Kanno (187-92) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Takayuki Kodama (166-92) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Fukushima have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 19-18 record which they share with defeated Kagawa FA. Loser Kagawa FA keeps the sixth place with 23 games lost. Fukushima will have a break next round.
