Very expected game in Aichi where 8th ranked Kanazawa (3-7) was crushed by second ranked Toyoda Gosei (10-2) 106-77 on Saturday. Toyoda Gosei made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Toyoda Gosei outrebounded Kanazawa 48-27 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Kanazawa's players. American center CJ Gettys (213-94, college: Rutgers, agency: Haylett Sports) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Irish forward Brian Voelkel (196-92, college: Vermont) chipped in 8 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Toyoda Gosei players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Kotaro Suda (184-95) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
