CBA top team - Flying Leopards (32-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Sharks (14-21) in Yingkou 117-95. Flying Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Sharks' 48. Flying Leopards forced 24 Sharks turnovers. Strangely Sharks outrebounded Flying Leopards 52-37 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Flying Leopards brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a quality performance for the former international Ailun Guo (188-93) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Zhenlin Zhang (207-99, college: Tulane) accounted for 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) came up with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and center Zong Zan (208-89) added 17 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Sharks in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flying Leopards have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 32-3 record. Sharks lost fifth consecutive game.
