Regular Season Round 32: Shinshu BW - Shiga L-Stars 76-79

A very close game took place in Nagano between Shiga L-Stars and Shinshu BW. Sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (12-20) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Shinshu BW (12-20). Shiga L-Stars managed to escape with a 3-point win 79-76 in the game for the fifth place. Shiga L-Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Australian center Angus Brandt (208-89, college: Oregon St.) who added 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars' coach Shawn Dennis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Shinshu BW. Shiga L-Stars will meet at home league's second-placed Chiba J. in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Shinshu BW will play against Toyota Alvark in Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
