Regular Season Round 32: Saga B. - Yamagata 59-77

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Saga B. (19-13) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Yamagata (15-17) 77-59. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. American forward Andrew Randall (198-90, college: Temple) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: UCF) contributed with 7 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) replied with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Takuya Soma (181-91) added 14 points and 4 steals in the effort for Saga B.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yamagata moved-up to fifth place. Saga B. lost fourth consecutive game. They still keep top position with 13 games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers. Yamagata are looking forward to face Tokyo Z (#8) at home in the next round. Saga B. will play against Kagawa FA (#6) in Takamatsu and is hoping to win this game.
