Regular Season Round 19: Parsa - Khouzestan 85-67

Bottom-ranked Khouzestan is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to fifth ranked Parsa (4-5) 85-67 on Sunday evening. Parsa outrebounded Khouzestan 44-30 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Saleh Foroutannik (207-94) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian guard Aleksandar Ponjavic (200-91) accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Parsa's coach Srdjan Jovanovic used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American point guard Reger Dowell (185-91, college: UT Arlington) came up with 21 points and 4 assists and Arash Sabeti added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Khouzestan in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Parsa moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Khouzestan lost their eleventh game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 11 games lost.
