An interesting game took place in Busan where higher ranked KT Sonicboom (17-16) was upset on its own court by ninth ranked LG Sakers (12-21) 81-77 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Leon Williams (203-86, college: Ohio) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. The former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-89) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CSUSB) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Young-Hwan Kim (195-84) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. LG Sakers maintains ninth place with 12-21 record. Loser KT Sonicboom keeps the fifth position with 16 games lost. They share it with ET Land. LG Sakers will meet higher ranked Samsung Th. (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KT Sonicboom will play against SK Knights in Seoul and hope to secure a win.
