An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Fukuoka. First ranked Gunma faced 3rd placed Rizing. Guests from Gunma (30-2) defeated host Rizing (17-15) 99-83. Gunma shot 32 for 47 from the free-throw line, while Rizing only scored thirteen points from the stripe. 36 personal fouls committed by Rizing helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Five Gunma players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) came up with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Gerald Beverly (202-93, college: Daemen) added 28 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) respectively for Rizing in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gunma have an impressive series of twenty eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 30-2 record. Rizing at the other side keeps the third position with 15 games lost. Gunma will have a break next round. Rizing will play again at home against the league's leader Gunma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
