Regular Season Round 11: Al Arabi - Al Ahli 91-77

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Doha: Al Arabi (#2) and Al Ahli (#6). Al Arabi (9-1) won against visiting Al Ahli (3-7) 91-77. Al Arabi made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. It was a great evening for American guard Kevin Murphy (197-90, college: Tenn Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists. South Sudanese-Lebanese center Ater Majok (208-87, college: UConn) helped adding 22 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 blocks. American point guard Jonathan Lee (188-90, college: Northeastern) responded with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Hamza Alattar scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Al Arabi have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Gharafa. Al Ahli at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
