The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Baghdad: Al Shorta (#2) and Al-Khtot (#5). Al Shorta (8-0) won against visiting Al-Khtot (4-4) 81-75. The best player for the winners was American guard Qyidar Davis (198-93, college: Indiana St.) who scored 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international guard Hassan Abdullah (190-94) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Glen Burns (190-95, college: Chicago St.) who recorded 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Nawras Altaleb added 6 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Al Shorta have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Naft and Al-Hashd. Al-Khtot at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost.
