Regular Season Round 28: Ibaraki R. - Kagawa FA 101-81

There was no surprise in Mito where 6th ranked Kagawa FA (12-16) was crushed by second ranked Ibaraki R. (20-8) 101-81 on Sunday. Ibaraki R. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kagawa FA's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Ibaraki R. players scored in double figures. Ibaraki R.'s coach Richard Glesmann used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Ibaraki R. have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-8 record having six points less than leader Saga B. Loser Kagawa FA keeps the sixth place with 16 games lost. Ibaraki R. will face Orange Vikings (#7) in Matsuyama in the next round where they are favorite. Kagawa FA will play at home against Koshigaya A. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
