Another interesting game for Al Ahli (2-5) which played on the court of Al Khor (1-6). Seventh ranked Al Ahli crushed hosts 92-68. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Jonathan Lee (188-90, college: Northeastern) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Rohndell Goodwin (195-91, college: Chaminade) who added 24 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Al Ahli's coach Panagiotis Foteinakis felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Jamaican Quintrell Thomas (203-90, college: UNLV) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Moustafa Lashin (187-97) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Al Ahli moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Qatar Club. Al Khor lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. Al Ahli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Doha Qatar Club.
