Al Manama topped Al Riffa on the road to sweep the semifinal series. Al-Manama players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 18 rebounds. International forward Hassan Nawrooz contributed with 22 points for the winners. American-New Zealand forward Marcel Jones (203-85, college: Oregon St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and Ali Asghar added 11 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Al-Riffa. Four Al-Riffa players scored in double figures. Al-Riffa's coach Toni Vujanic tested ten players seeing no chance for a win.

Al Ahli rallied past Al Muharraq to even the semifinal series at 1-1. Al-Ahli outrebounded Al-Muharraq 44-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American-Lebanese center Loren Woods (218-78, college: Arizona) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 22 rebounds. The former international forward Hesham Sarhan (-92) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Arnett Moultrie (208-90, college: Mississippi St., agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and Ali Nader added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Al-Muharraq's coach Rajko Toroman rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win.
