JORDAN RICHARD

Lapuan Korikobrat (Korisliiga) agreed terms with 28-year old American center Jordan Richard (206-89, college: CS Los Angeles, agency: Slash Sports). He started the season at Al-Muharraq in Bahrain Premier League. In 14 games he had 12.9ppg, 12.6rpg, 1.9apg and 2.0bpg this season. Good year as he was named League Player of the Week. The last season Richard played at Obras Basket in Argentinian LigaA where in 31 games he recorded 3.7ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.5bpg.
Three years ago (two years after he left the college) Richard was drafted by Reno Bighorns (D-League) in fifth round (92nd overall).
The former Cal State - Los Angeles (NCAA Div.II) staris in his fifth season in pro basketball.
Richard's college team won CCAA Tournament in 2009.
He is quite experienced player. Richard's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in six different countries. Richard tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Dominican Rep., Israel (Elitzur Ramla), Italy (Matera), Slovenia (Hopsi Polzela), Dominican Republic (Soles de Santo Domingo and Dosa) and Mongolia (Darkhan Garid).

MUHARRAQ and Manama claimed contrasting victories last night in their final games of the opening round of the 38th GCC Clubs Basketball Championship in Muscat.
