American Center Jordan Richard (206-C-89) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Al-Muharraq, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 30 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Samaheej (#13, 0-4) with 68-point margin 113-45. It allowed Al-Muharraq to consolidate first place in the Bahrain Premier League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Al-Muharraq already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Richard turned to be Al-Muharraq's top player in his first season with the team.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old Nigerian Augustine Okosun (210-C-86) of Sitra. Okosun had a very good evening with a double-double of 38 points and 26 rebounds. Bad luck as Sitra lost that game 61-73 to slightly lower-ranked Al-Bahrain (#10, 1-3). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Sitra dropped in the standings to 9th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 1-2 record. Okosun is a newcomer at Sitra, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.0ppg (#1). He also registered 25.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Loren Woods (218-C-78) of Al-Hala (#7). Woods scored 28 points and grabbed twenty one rebounds (!!!). Despite Woods' great performance Al-Hala lost 70-74 to the higher-ranked Al-Ittihad (#3, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Al-Hala needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Woods has a great season in Bahrain. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.0ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 16.5rpg (4th best).

5. Mile Ilic (215-C-84) of Al-Nweidrat - 23 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists

7. Mohamed Nasser) of Al-Muharraq - 16 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Hesham Sarhan (F-92) of Al-Ahli - 10 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists
9. Ali Abbas) of Al-Muharraq - 20 points and 3 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team and favorites losing the games. Experienced American-Lebanese Loren Woods (218-C-78) had a very impressive game in the last round for Al-Hala and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 5. The 39-year old center had a double-double of 26 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team crushed Al-Bahrain (#11, 1-4) with 22-point margin 91-69. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Manama. Leader Al-Muharraq faced 4th placed Al-Ittihad. Guests from Al Muharraq (5-0) smashed host Al-Ittihad (3-2) 104-82.
