Al Manama club announced that they agreed terms with the 47 years old Spanish Coach Josep Claros to be the new head coach for senior team. The specialist spanish coach have arrived to the kingdom few hours ago and most probably he will lead the team in the third game of semi-final series against Al Hala .. the team tied 1-1 in the series, after they lost by 2 points in the first game Manama released the Serbian coach of team Dragan Raca and named the local coach Aqil Milad as temporary head coach, Aqil succeed to kept Al Manama alive in the series and won by 10 points in the second game. Third game will be played at Wednesday.
Its not the first experience for coach Pep in Bahrain the 1st Non-American coach in NCAA have coached Al Muharraq during first half of last season, he leaded the team to Final 4 of the cup and the league !! before he parted away with Muharraq and moved to Japan and coached Fukuoka Rizing.
Coach Claros have coached in 11 different countries he started his coaching career in NCAA then Puerto Rico, Venezuila, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Canada, France, Japan and Bahrain, he reached the finalist of 14 competitions in that 11 countries !! named as coach of the year in Canada NBL League in 2015, Won Liga Americas Championship in 2012 with Pioneros Mexican Club and named coach of the year in that competition as well !! he made a huge leap while he coached Mexico National Team between 2010 until 2013 !!

Bahrain and United Arab Emirates will represent Gulf Basketball Association sub-zone in the upcoming FIBA U18 Asian Championship in Bangkok, Thailand. Bahrain swept the Qualifying to win the Championships while United Arab Emirates finished second with an impressive 3-1 record. ARNETT MOULTRIE Al-Muharraq (Premier League) signed 27-year old American power forward Arnett Moultrie (208-113kg-90, college: Mississippi State, agency: Interperformances). He just played at Mahram in Iranian Superleague. He helped them to make it to the final.
