Duke Crews
Al-Ittihad (Premier League) agreed terms with 29-year old American forward Duke Crews (203-106kg-88, college: Bowie State). He played last season at Toyama Grouses in Japanese B League. In 53 games he had very impressive stats: 16.4ppg, 9.0rpg and 1.6apg. Crews helped them to win the league title. Quite impressive season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese BJ League Honorable Mention.
The previous (14-15) season he played at Cyberdyne (also in B League) where in 30 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 16.5ppg, 9.1rpg and 1.4apg.
Crews was voted All-CIAA Player of the Year back in 2010 at his college time.
Crews is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in six different countries. Crews tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Mexico (Frayles de Guasave), Philippines (SM Beermen), Ukraine (DniproAzot), Uruguay (Tabare and Cader), Venezuela (Panteras) and Bahrain (Sitra).
Crews attended Bowie State until 2010 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.
