Premier League Round 10: Al Manama beats Al Hala in the most crucial game of the week - Dec 17, 2016

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Manama. Top-ranked Al Manama faced their biggest opponent Al Hala. Host Al Manama (9-0) smashed guests from Muharraq (8-2) 109-70. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Al Hala. Undefeated Al Manama have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-0 record. Al Hala at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Al Manama are looking forward to face Al Ahli (#4) in Manama in the next round. Al Hala will have a break next round.
The game in Al Muharraq was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Al Ahli (7-2) played at the court of 5th ranked Al Muharraq (5-4). Al Ahli managed to secure a 5-point victory 68-63. Al Ahli moved-up to third place, which they share with Nuwaidrat. Al Muharraq at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Al Ahli will play against league's leader Al Manama at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Muharraq will play against Samaheej (#10) in Manama and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Sitra between Al Ittihad and Sitra. Eighth ranked Al Ittihad (3-6) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Sitra (1-8). Al Ittihad managed to escape with a 1-point win 66-65 on Wednesday evening. Newly promoted Al Ittihad maintains eighth position with 3-6 record. Sitra lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with eight games lost. They share the position with Al Bahrain and Samaheej. Al Ittihad's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Manama Al Najma.

In the last two games of round 10 Al Bahrain was defeated by Issa Town in a road game 77-64. Nuwaidrat beat Samaheej at home 73-57.

Issa Town - Al Bahrain 77-64

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Al Bahrain (1-8) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Issa Town (4-5) 77-64 on Wednesday. Issa Town moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Al Najma. Al Bahrain lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Sitra and Samaheej. Issa Town will meet at home higher ranked Nuwaidrat (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Al Bahrain will play against Sitra (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Sitra - Al Ittihad 65-66

A very close game took place in Sitra between Al Ittihad and Sitra. Eighth ranked Al Ittihad (3-6) got a very close victory on the road over 10th ranked Sitra (1-8). Nuwaidrat - Samaheej 73-57

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Nuwaidrat (7-2) defeated at home 10th ranked Samaheej (1-8) 73-57 on Tuesday. Nuwaidrat maintains third position with 7-2 record having just two points less than leader Al Manama, which they share with Al Ahli. Newly promoted Samaheej dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Sitra and Al Bahrain. Nuwaidrat will meet Issa Town (#7) on the road in the next round. Samaheej will play against Al Muharraq and hope to win that game.
