The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Al Manama as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Al Manama smashed 6th ranked Al Bahrain at home 85-66. Al Manama have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Nuwaidrat. Al Bahrain at the other side dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Al Bahrain will play next round against strong Nuwaidrat trying to get back on the winning streak. Al Manama will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Sitra on the road.
Undefeated Al Ahli (4-1) recorded its first loss in Manama. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Al Hala (4-1) 73-66. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Al Ahli. Al Hala moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Al Ahli. Al Hala will play against bottom-ranked Samaheej (#11) in Manama in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Ahli will have a break next round.
Bottom-ranked Samaheej (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-88 loss to seventh ranked Al Najma (2-3) in Manama on Saturday evening. Al Najma moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Issa Town. Newly promoted Samaheej still closes the standings with five games lost. Al Najma will meet at home Issa Town (#7) in the next round. Samaheej will play against Al Hala (#3) in Muharraq and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Bottom-ranked Al Ittihad (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 65-57 loss to leader Nuwaidrat (4-0) in Nuwaidrat. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Nuwaidrat have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Manama. Newly promoted Al Ittihad still closes the standings with four games lost. Nuwaidrat's next round opponent will be Al Bahrain (#8) in Manama and are hoping to win another game. Al Ittihad will play on the road against Al Muharraq and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 5 Sitra was defeated by Issa Town in a road game 83-75.

Al Ahli - Al Hala 66-73

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Issa Town and 9th ranked Sitra had identical 1-3 record. This time Issa Town used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Sitra 83-75. Issa Town (2-3) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Al Najma. Sitra at the other side keeps the ninth position with four games lost. Issa Town's next round opponent will be Al Najma (#6) in Manama. Sitra will play at home against the league's leader Al Manama and hope to win that game.
