Defending champion Al Manama (Premier League) agreed terms with 33-year old Georgia power forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212-105kg-83, agency: Interperformances) to replace the Nigerian Player Ndudi Ebi who already got released. Nikoloz played last season at Chemidor in Iranian Superleague. Tskitishvili managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. In 5 Superleague games he had 11.4ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.0spg. The last summer he played at Champville in Pepsi LBL where in 15 games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.5ppg, 11.3rpg, 1.9apg and 1.5spg.
In 2002 Tskitishvili was drafted by Denver Nuggets (NBA) as #5 pick overall. His team was regular season runner-up in Iranian Superleague.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Tskitishvili was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Import of the Year in 2015.
He represented Georgia at the European Championships in Slovenia three years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 2.6ppg, 2.0rpg.
Tskitishvili is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Tskitishvili tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally also in China (Fujian), Greece (Panionios), Italy (BancaTercas), Japan (Tochigi Brex), Russia, Spain (Sevilla, Baloncesto Fuenlabrada and Gipuzkoa), NBA (LA Clippers) and United Arab Emirates (Al Sharjah).
On Tskitishvili: Very prospective player, one of the top ones his age in Europe. After first years played at center, he has now adapted to play the 3 and/ or the 4 position, where he can be terrific thanks to his shooting ands passing skills.
