Jasmin
Perkovic
Nuwaidrat (Premier League) inked experienced 36-year old Croatian forward Jasmin Perkovic (205-117kg-80). He was about to sign at KK Skrljevo in Croatian A1 league. The last season Perkovic played also at KK Skrljevo (also in A1) where in 28 games he was fourth best scorer with impressive 15.5ppg and had 6.3rpg, 2.3apg and 1.4spg.
He played at the Arab Club Championships two years ago.
Perkovic is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to nine different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Perkovic has played previously professionally also in Austria (Vienna), Bosnia (Bosna-Royal), Germany (Giessen 46ers and EWE Baskets), Greece (AEK Athens), Iraq (Nift Al-Janoub), Italy (Vanoli Cremona), Kuwait (Al Kuwait) and Slovenia (Un.Olimpija and Hopsi Polzela).
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Nuwaidrat.
Perkovic's game is described as: Jasmin is physically one of the most dominant European power forwards. Real warrior, plays 100 percent all the time. Moves extremely quick. His strenth, athletic build, 123 kg of pure muscles are impressive. Unstoppable with his back to the basket tehnique. Variety of offensive moves. Good technique combined with intelligent use of his strength makes him a deadly offender. Good shot selection. Team player. Dominant rebounder on both ends of the floor. Good shot from mid-range.
