Ndudi Ebi
Defending champion Al Manama (Premier League) agreed terms with 32-year old Nigerian forward Ndudi Ebi (206-105kg-84). He played last season at Auxilium Torino in Italian Serie A. In 28 games he had 9.4ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.3spg and 1.3bpg.
The previous (14-15) season Ebi played at Roma Virtus (also in Serie A) where in 15 games he recorded 9.9ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.1spg and 1.4bpg. He also played 4 games in Eurocup where he averaged 7.8ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.5spg. The other team Ebi played that season for was Zamalek (Superleague) in Egypt. In 15 games he got 9.9ppg and 5.4rpg.
In 2003 he was drafted by Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) in first round (26th overall).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Ebi's team made it to the Chinese NBL Semifinals in 2012. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Italian Lega2 Defensive Player of the Year back in 2010 and 2011.
Ebi is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in six different countries. Ebi tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in France, Israel (Bnei Hasharon), Lebanon (Anibal), Puerto Rico (Vaqueros) and China (Jiangsu Tongxi and Ningxia Hanas).
On Ebi: A very athletic inside player, who can spend time in the 4 and the 5 positions as well. Ha great leaping ability and quick feet, can defend also on the SF. Good rebounder, he's increasing his offensive production year after year.
