There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, derby games and favorites losing the games.

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Sitra (3-1) at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were edged by seventh ranked Hidd (3-2) 62-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sitra. Hidd moved-up to sixth place. Sitra at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Issa Town. Hidd are looking forward to face higher ranked Al Ahli (#3) in Manama in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sitra will play on the road against Al Najma in Manama and is hoping to win this game.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Manama: Al Ahli (#4) and Al Manama (#6). Al Manama was defeated at home 72-77 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Al Ahli (4-1) moved-up to third place. Al Manama at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Al Ahli will play against Hidd (#6) in the next round. Al Manama's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Manama to the arena Samaheej.
Premier League top team - Muharraq (5-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat tenth ranked Nuwaidrat (1-4) 78-68. Undefeated Muharraq have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Loser Nuwaidrat dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Al Ittihad. Muharraq will meet Al Ittihad (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nuwaidrat will play against Issa Town.

The victory was the third consecutive win for Issa Town. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sitra. Al Najma lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Issa Town's next round opponent will be Nuwaidrat (#10) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Al Najma will play against Sitra and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Leader Al Hala blasted bottom-ranked Samaheej (0-5) in Muharraq 95-50 on Sunday evening keeping the perfect record after 5 rounds. Samaheej is still unable to win any game. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Al Hala. Defending champion maintains second place with 4-0 record behind leader Muharraq. Samaheej lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. Al Hala will face Bahrain Club (#8) in Manama in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Samaheej will play at home against Al Manama (#7) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 5 Al Ittihad lost to Bahrain Club on the opponent's court 47-53.


Al Manama - Al Ahli 72-77

Everything could happen in Manama at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Bahrain Club and 8th ranked Al Ittihad had identical 1-3 record. This time Bahrain Club used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Manama 53-47 on Saturday night. Bahrain Club (2-3) moved-up to eighth place.
