By the end of 3rd round in Bahrain basketball league, Still there is four of national team players on strike from their teams because of financial disputes. Al Ahli Manama club point guard Hussain Shaker stopped playing with Al Ahli Manama after getting an attractive offer from Sitra Club to play for two seasons with high salary but Al Ahli Manama refused the offer and demanding more to dispense. on the other hand, three of Al Manama super stars, Hussain Mohammed (PG), Ahmed Aziz (90) and Hassan Nawrooz stopped playing with the team demanding more to get after hiring Bahrains best power forward Mohammed Qurban (187-F-87) from Al Ahli Manama club to Al Manama club. Those players were suspended by Al Manama club management till furthur notice after they failed to attend and official game without any prior notice.

Al Muharraq (Premier League) tabbed 33-year old Australian international center Aleksandar Maric (211-125kg-84, college: Nebraska). He played most recently at Obradoiro in Spanish Liga Endesa. But in 9 games he averaged just 1.6ppg and 2.0rpg last season. Maric also played that season for Kings in Australian NBL where in 28 games he had 5.4ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg.
