Bahrain Basketball will kick start the new season this week with Manama Club again in the top of all Head Lines news, After firing Coach Rodney Heard and trying out 4 american players which they kept none of them, it seems that Manama has found its team.
Manama has just signed Lebanese league legend coach Toni Vujanic which will make the 3rd coach in 4 months and is currently trying out 2 american imports Ex Hala Player Patrick Simpson and Jamar Brown.
Also Manama Has signed former Al Ahli Player Bronu Qurban for the biggest transaction between teams in Bahrain History. Manama Paid 180000 Dollars for his realease and signed a contract for 5 years worth over a half million Dollars.

Bronu is joining and already All-star cast with Mohammed Derazi, Mahmud Ghoullum and Ahmed Al Mutawa which all theses players are in their last contractual season.

Manama will start their season on Wednesday Nov 28th at 6pm against Al Najma Club in Um Al Hassam Gym.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Al Ahli (2-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Al Manama (3-0) 81-65. The game without a history. Al Manama led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Al Manama are looking forward to face Al Hala (#5) in Muharraq in the next round. Newly promoted Al Noor Mecca (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American forward Antwan Wilkerson (201-100kg-91, college: Johnson C. Smith). He started the season at Al Ittihad in Bahrain Premier League and was second best scorer in the league there. The last season Wilkerson played at Al Salam. Premier League Round 2 (Second Stage): Al Manama keeps a leadership position - 12 days ago
There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Second Stage in Premier League. Al Manama defeated Al Muharraq at home 85-80. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Al Muharraq won third quarter 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
