Bahrain U18- Philippines U18 72:99

Rodolfo Alejandro (180-G-95) leads Philippines over Bahrain at the 22nd FIBA Asia U18 Championship. The winning side improved to 4-1 record however finished only third in the group. Iran and Taiwan took the top places in Group F with the same records due to the better difference. Bahrain finished with 1-4 record on the last spot with the same situation between three teams.
Bahrain surprised the favorites with 22-13 in the first period and added 24-22 in the second frame. The third quarter was however decisive in the game as Philippines erupted with 38-15 in it to take the lead in the game. They finished the campaign with 26-11 in the last stanza for the final success.
Rodolfo Alejandro paced all the winners with 23 points and Jerie Pingoy (175-G-94) nailed 19. Janhubert Cani (178-PG-95) and Rey Nambatac (179-G-94) followed them with 11 points each in a win. Ali Hassan Shukralla finished the game with 32 points and 12 rebounds in defeat, while Mohammed Buallay (185-F-95) scored 16.

Al Muharraq (Premier League) tabbed 27-year old American center Tyran Walker (213-109kg-89, college: Wake Forest). He played most recently at Iowa Energy (D-League) in the U.S. In 11 games he averaged 5.5ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.9bpg last season. Walker also played that season for AZS Koszalin in TBL where in 14 games he had 3.1ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.8bpg. Among other achievements his team won French Supercup in 2013. Bahrain win GCC basketball crown - 9 days ago

Bahrain claimed the fifth GCC Basketball U-15 Championship after defeating Qatar 80-54 on the last day of the tournament in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, yesterday. The scores of the four quarters were 20-7 (Bahrain), 20-13 (Bahrain), 23-18 (Bahrain) and 17-16 (Bahrain). GCC Basketball U-15 Championship: Bahrain cruise to victory over Oman - 12 days ago

Bahrain crushed Oman 110-41 in the third round of the fifth GCC Basketball U-15 Championship in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, last night. The quarters scores were 30-6 (Bahrain), 25-20 (Bahrain), 22-9 (Bahrain) and 33-6 (Bahrain).
