Bahrain U18-Iran U18 76:87

Iran beat Bahrain for 3-0 record in Group F at the 22nd FIBA Asia U18 Championship. The team celebrated a 87:76 win in Day 4 of the competition.
Iran won the first period 21-16 and continued to dominate the court in the second quarter. They added 25-18 in it for 46:34 advantage at the halftime. Bahrain started to play better in the second half and as a result both teams scored 16 points each in the third period.Moreover Bahrain won the last stanza 26-25 and reduced to final 11 points.
Mohammad Sistani (181-G-86) top-scored for the winners with 26 points and Behnam Yakhchali (191-G-95) nailed 17. Aliyar Najafikharaji (189-SG-94) delivered 10, while Vahid Dalirzahan (199-SF-95) posted 9. Ali Melad (171-F-94) ended up with 19 points in defeat and Sayed Hasan Ali notched 16. Mohammed Buallay (185-F-95) finished the game with 12 points, while Abbas Abdulrasool (196-C-94) scored 7.

Defending champion Al Manama (Premier League) agreed terms with 32-year old Nigerian forward Ndudi Ebi (206-105kg-84). He played last season at Auxilium Torino in Italian Serie A. In 28 games he had 9.4ppg, 5.5rpg, 1.3spg and 1.3bpg. The previous (14-15) season Ebi played at Roma Virtus (also in Serie A) where in 15 games he recorded 9.9ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.1spg and 1.4bpg. Al Muharraq (Premier League) tabbed 27-year old American center Tyran Walker (213-109kg-89, college: Wake Forest). He played most recently at Iowa Energy (D-League) in the U.S. In 11 games he averaged 5.5ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.9bpg last season. Bahrain win GCC basketball crown - 12 days ago

Bahrain claimed the fifth GCC Basketball U-15 Championship after defeating Qatar 80-54 on the last day of the tournament in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, yesterday. The scores of the four quarters were 20-7 (Bahrain), 20-13 (Bahrain), 23-18 (Bahrain) and 17-16 (Bahrain).
