Indonesia U18 - Bahrain U18 72:67

Indonesia earned the first win at the U18 Asian Championship. They overcame Bahrain to improve at 1-1 record in Group C. Jan Panagan (179-G-94) scored 17 points to lead the winners. Bahrain slipped at 1-1 record after the loss.
Indonesia opened the game aggressively as they jumped to a 19:12 lead after ten minutes. Bahrain however struck right back in the second frame. They fired 26 points in the period to take a 38:25 halftime lead. Indonesia slowed their opponents down in the third quarter. They limited Bahrain to 14 points in the quarter and trimmed the deficit at 4-point mark at the final intermission. Indonesia quickly erased the deficit in the final frame and soon surged in front. They left Bahrain behind and marched to the victory at the end. Juan Kokodiputra (193-C/F-95) and Kristianto Halim (201-C-94) posted 14 points each for Indonesia. Mohammed Buallay (185-F-95) answered with 24 points for Bahrain. Sadiq Shukralla (181-F-97) had 12 points and 11 rebounds in defeat.

Al Rayyan Doha (D1) signed 26-year old American center Marcus Bell (206-102kg-90, college: CS Stanislaus). He already started the season at Sitra Club in Bahrain Premier League. Bell also played earlier that season for Uhud (SBL) in Saudi Arabian league. The other team he played shortly was US Ansar (Division I) in Tunisian league.
