Bahrain U18 - Mongolia U18 95:74

Bahrain registered the first win at the U18 Asia Championship in Ulaanbaatar. They overcame hosting Mongolia in Group C. Mahamed Naser (191-F-97) came up with 24 points and 9 rebounds for the winners.
The hosts started the game aggressively. Mongolia dominated in the opening quarter posting a 20:10 lead after ten minutes. Bahrain managed to narrow the gap in the second quarter. The visitors got within a single point at the interval 37:38. Bahrain pulled ahead in the third quarter. They fired 30 points to take a 67:54 lead at the final intermission. Mongolia ran out of steam in the fourth term and could not challenge the deficit in the final minutes. Ali Melad (171-F-94) finished with 18 points, while Jasim Abul (167-PG-94) and Mohammed Buallay (185-F-95) accounted for 10 points each for the winners. Likhamjav answered with 21 points for Mongolia. Chinzorig netted 18 points and collected 9 rebounds in defeat.

Al Rayyan Doha (D1) signed 26-year old American center Marcus Bell (206-102kg-90, college: CS Stanislaus). He already started the season at Sitra Club in Bahrain Premier League. Bell also played earlier that season for Uhud (SBL) in Saudi Arabian league. The other team he played shortly was US Ansar (Division I) in Tunisian league. Sitra Club (Premier League) brought back 30-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) center Augustine Okosun (210-109kg-86, college: Kaiser) after he started the season with the team and got released due injury. he replaces Haminn Quaintance who didn't perform well with the team same what he did with Al Najma 2 seasons ago.
