Hung Kang-Chiao (191-F-92) scored 18 points to pace the winners. Taiwan quickly posted a 10:3 lead. They maintained the advantage and earned a 17:13 cushion at the first break. Iran went on a 10:4 run at the start of the second quarter and pulled in front. But Taiwan regained control pretty quickly and ensured a 34:30 advantage at halftime. Taiwan tipped off the second half with eight points in a row to enlarge the lead. They rallied to a 48:35 buffer at the final break. Saimak Torabikhah organized a 10:2 run from Iran that put them as close as 5 points 47:52. Moradinasab Mahdi (92) and Ghahraman Omari leveled things up at 57 with just over two minutes to go. However Hu Lung-Mao (194-F-92) and Chen Kuan-Chuan (195-F-93) nailed four points in a row as Taiwan cleared off for good in this one. Hu Lung-Mao produced 17 points for the winning team. Philippines - Yemen 97-48 Philippines finished the U18 Asia Championship in the fifth position. They shot down hosting Yemen on the final day of the tournament. Joshua Angelo Alolino (181-G-94) produced 18 points and 8 assists to lead the winners. Philippines turned out to have more energy for the final game. They grabbed control right from the start. Yemen accounted for only 10 points in the first period allowing their opponents to clear off. Philippines posted a 22:10 advantage at the first break. Philippines opened the second term on a 10:2 run to boost the lead. They controlled the tempo and piled up a comfortable 47:26 halftime advantage. The visitors continued to dictate the rhythm in the third stanza. They fired 34 points to accumulate a massive 43-point lead heading into the final quarter. Yemen managed ten points in the fourth stanza and had to give up at the end. Kiefer Isaac Ravena (181-G/F-93) and Raphael Banal (186-G-92) nailed 15 points each for Philippines. Japan - Lebanon 65-67 Lebanon finished U18 Asia Championship in the seventh position. They narrowly defeated Japan in the final game of the tournament. Karam Mechref (188-G-92) scored 20 points to pace the winners. Japan used a 6:0 run to take a 16:10 lead midway through the first quarter. They maintained the lead to enter the second frame up by one point 20:19. Lebanon however turned the tables in the second period. They gained a 7-point lead and hung on to win the first half 36:31. But Japan were not about to give up. They triggered a 19:4 rally to establish a 55:46 lead at the final intermission. Lebanon erased the deficit and it all came down to the final seconds in this one. The teams were tied at 65 with 29 seconds remaining. But Karam Mechref scored a basket to put Lebanon in front. Seiya Ando (184-G-92) missed his attempt and Karam Mechref blocked a Hiromichi Fujita one to seal the winning outcome for Lebanon. Mouhamad Bilal Tabbara (195-F-93) scored 15 points for the winners. Cyril Massoud (191-G-92) accounted for 11 points for Lebanon. Takumi Mitsuyama (183-G-92) notched 20 points for Japan. Seiya Ando delivered 15 points in the loss.

China - South Korea 103-80 China clinched the U18 Asia Championship title. They topple South Korea in the championship game tonight. Guo Ailun (193-G-93) had another MVP-worth performance for China. He tallied 28 points to lead his team to the triumph. China finished the tournament undefeated and well deserved the success. China opened the game with five points in a row. They were up by 8:2 when South Korea went on a 7:0 rally to surge ahead. The teams traded baskets but China managed to take a narrow 23:21 lead after ten minutes. They opened the second term with six points in a row to enlarge the distance. A 9:0 rally helped China to a 16-point lead midway through the quarter. They established a 49:34 halftime lead. South Korea could not turn things around in the third frame. China erupted for 29 points in the stanza and piled up a comfortable 78:55 lead. South Korea never got closer than 17 points in the final period and China sealed the victory at the end. Wang Zhelin (213-C-94) tallied 27 points and 19 rebounds for China. Zhu Xuhang (207-F-93) added 17 points for the winners. Kim Giyun (184-G-92) answered with 29 points for South Korea. Philippines - Japan 91-86 Philippines earned the victory at the classification round of the U18 Asia Championship in Yemen. They knocked down Japan in overtime to earn the spot in the game for the fifth position. Philippines will take on Yemen tomorrow. Japan will play against Lebanon for the 7th place. Seiya Ando (184-G-92), Kodai Kimura (190-G/F-92) and Hareyama gave Japan a 20:12 lead late in the opening quarter. Seiya Ando capped the period with two free throws and Japan posted a 22:14 lead. The gap quickly grew at 10-point mark in the second term. Kodai Kimura extended the margin to 14 points midway through the second frame. But Philippines stepped on the gas and narrowed the deficit at 6 points at halftime 30:36. Mitsuyama returned a double-digit lead for Japan midway through the third stanza. But Philippines did not allow their opponents to run away. Kiefer Isaac Ravena (181-G/F-93) and Russel Escoto helped the Filipino side to get within 6 points at the final intermission 55:61. Yemen - Lebanon 79-75 Yemen recorded an overtime win over Lebanon in the classification round of the U18 Asia Championship. Mohammed Yaeesh (182-G-93) scored 31 points to pace Yemen to the victory. The hosts of the tournament will take on Philippines for the fifth overall place tomorrow. Lebanon will wrap up their campaign against Japan. Lebanon got a narrow lead at the end of the opening quarter. They entered the second stanza up by 4 points 21:17. Yemen opened the second stanza on a 10:2 run to surge ahead. Mohammed Yaeesh helped the home side to stay in charge as Yemen established a 37:35 advantage at halftime. The lead changed hands for several times throughout close third term. Lebanon managed to ensure a 53:51 lead at the final intermission. Constantin Kodsi stretched the lead to 6 points midway through the fourth stanza. However Yemen survived as Samer Abdullah (92) and Mohammed Yaeesh drew things level at the end of regulation 68:68. Samer Abdullah knocked down three points to put Yemen ahead at the start of overtime. Lebanon erased the deficit but Yemen went on a 7:1 run to clear off. Iraq - Syria 62-86 Syria finished their U18 Asia Championship campaign with victory. They shot down Iraq to occupy the ninth overall position. Amir Sirjieh (179-F-93) and Mhd Yazen Beirakdar (196-F-93) helped Syria to a 13:8 lead early in the encounter. Syria maintained the lead and entered the second quarter ahead 19:14. Iraq tried to stay close early in the second period. But Syria went on an 18:4 rally to post a 47:26 halftime buffer. Syria maintained the margin well enough throughout the third term. They enjoyed a comfortable 61:50 lead heading into the final stanza. Hassan Abdullah (190-F-94) dragged Iraqi team within 9 points early in the final period but Syria quickly bounced back. They scored next seven points and cleared off for good in this one. Amer Al Sati (203-C-92) came up with 19 points and 15 boards for Syria. Amir Sirjieh accounted for 19 points in the winning effort. Taiwan - South Korea 68-79 South Korea advanced into the title game at the U18 Asia Championship. They held off Taiwan in the first semifinal tonight. Kim Giyun (184-G-92) scored 19 points to lead the winners. Taiwan were able to surge ahead midway through the first quarter. Huang Po-wei (177-G-92) gave the team a 17:13 lead. Taiwan earned a 19:16 advantage at the first pause. The margin grew at 6-point mark in the second quarter. Kuan-Chuan Chen gave Taiwan a 35:26 advantage. But South Korea capped the first half with 8 points in a row to narrow the deficit at just one point 34:35. South Korea opened the second half with four points in a row to surge in front. They completed a 17:2 rally to establish a 51:37 buffer midway through the third term. The Korean team entered the final quarter up by 12 points 57:45. South Korea quickly boosted the margin to 19 points in the final frame. Taiwan did not surrender as they narrow the deficit at 9 points late in regulation but South Korea survived the challenge and celebrated the victory at the end. Lee Seounghyun (201-C-92) posted 17 points and 14 rebounds for South Korea. Lee Jonghyun (203-C-94) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the victory. Tao Xu gave his team a 27:18 advantage midway through the period. China established a 27:22 cushion at the interval. They maintained the lead well throughout the third frame. China entered the fourth quarter up by 10 points 47:37. Wang Zhelin (213-C-94) stretched the margin to 12 points but Iran did not surrender. Sina Hadizadeh scored four points in a row to put the Iranian them as close as 6 points. Sajjad Mashayekhi trimmed the distance to only 5 points 50:55 with two minutes to go in the game.
