China U16 - Taiwan U16 75:44
China registered the second consecutive win at the U16 Asia Championship in Vietnam. They outscored Taiwan on the second day of the tournament. Zhou Qi (215-C-96) stepped up with 24 points to pace the winners. Taiwan fell at 1-1 record after the loss.
The teams stayed close early in the encounter but China pulled ahead to take a 17:12 after ten minutes of action. The defending champions kept their opponents at bay throughout the second term. China recorded a 38:28 lead at the interval. China cleared off in the third frame. They established a 21-point lead at the final break 58:37. Taiwan managed just 7 points in the final quarter as China cruised to the victory at the end. Xiaopeng Guo notched 20 points, while Pan Ning (210-C-95) had 10 points for the winners. Wang I-Fan (95) responded with 13 points for Taiwan. Kuan-shiuan Lu delivered 10 points in the losing case.

India U16 - Malaysia U16 93:40
India U16 registered the first win at the Asian Championship in Vietnam. They toppled Malasia in Group A tonight. Karthickeyan Saminathan (188-G-95) delivered 18 points to pace the winners. Malaysia suffered the second straight defeat at the tournament.
It was all over for Malaysia after the starting frame. They went scoreless in the opening ten minutes to face a 17-point deficit. India mounted the pressure and cleared off to a 34:8 distance at the interval. More to come in the third frame. India stayed calm and executed well on the way to a 64:23 lead at the final break. India never looked back afterwards marching to the initial win at the end. Ajay Pratap Singh (193-F-95) knocked down 17 points in the winning case. Zhi Hao Tan answered with 11 points for Malaysia. Eng Hong Keng had 7 points in the loss.

South Korea U16 - Lebanon U16 91:65

South Korea earned the second win in a row at the start of the U16 Asia Championship. They fired past Lebanon to improve at 2-0 record on top of Group B. Heo Hoon scored 23 points to lead the winners. Lebanon suffered the first defeat at the tournament.
South Korea showed their ambitions early in the game. They outgunned Lebanon 34:10 in the opening ten minutes. South Korea stayed in charge throughout the second term. They registered a comfortable 53:23 halftime lead. The Korean team did not slow down after the big break. They boosted the gap to as many as 37 points at the final intermission. Lebanon did not surrender easily as they picked up the tempo in the fourth frame. They trimmed the deficit but obviously had little chance to save the game at the end. Park Intae provided 16 points, while Yun Yeongbin (195-F/C-95) contributed 15 points for the winners. Gerard Hadidian answered with 22 points for Lebanon. Jimmy Salem finished with 15 points in the loss.

Iraq U16 - Uzbekistan U16 100:32
Iraq recorded the first win at the U16 Asia Championship in Vietnam. They overcame Uzbekistan to improve at 1-1 record in Group B. Uzbekistan fell at 0-2 record after the loss.
Iraq set the tone early in the encounter. They erupted for 33 points in the starting frame to take a 27-point lead. Iraq maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They recorded a 59:13 lead at the interval. The teams went scoreless in the third quarter. But Iraq exploded with 41 points in the fourth frame to seal the victory at the end. Dhulfiqar Ali (185-G-96) scored 21 points to pace the winners. Ali Ahmed added 20 points in the winning case. Farukhjon Muratov answered with 11 points for Uzbekistan. Ruslan Bokhodirov had 6 points in the losing effort.

Saudi Arabia U16 - Qatar U16 85:47
Saudi Arabia registered the first win at the U16 Asia Championship in Vietnam. They fired past Qatar in Group C action. Abdulaziz Sakar (183-G-95) ailed 29 points as Saudi Arabia improved at 1-1 record. Qatar in the meantime slipped at 0-2 record after the loss.
Saudis exploded with 34 points in the first frame to clear off. They entered the second term up by as many as 17 points. They limited Qatar to just 6 points in the second frame. Saudi Arabia posted a massive 32-point halftime lead. Saudi Arabia stayed in charge throughout the third quarter. They secured an insurmountable 45-point cushion before the fourth quarter and cruised to the victory at the end. Raad Barnawinailed 15 points, while Abdullah Musallam provided 14 points for the winners. Mohammed Dawoud (195-C-95) esponded with 15 points for Qatar. Mohamed Abdelkawy netted 13 points in the loss.

Philippines U16 - Indonesia U16 93:30
Philippines opened win count at the U16 Asia Championship in Vietnam. They drubbed Indonesia in the opener. Rodolfo Alejandro (175-G-95) nd Kyles Jefferson posted 15 points each to pace the winners. Indonesia on the other hand suffered the first defeat at the tournament and fell at 1-1 record.
Philippines looked dominant from start to finish. They posted a 27:9 lead ten minutes into the game. The margin grew at 56:13 mark at the interval. Philippines continued to keep the pressure high in the second half. They rallied to a confident 78:22 lead with ten minutes remaining. Philippines never looked back afterwards cruising to the victory at the end. Paolo Rashleigh and Isaac George provided 9 points each in the win. Hans Abraham (179-G-95) answered with 9 points for Indonesia. Ritzky Indraprasto had 6 points in the loss.

Australia celebrate title in Foshan - 4 months ago
FINAL China - Australia 67-91 Australia celebrate Gold in Foshan. They knocked down hosting China in the title game tonight. Luke Travers (197-G-01) provided 22 points and 8 rebounds for the champions. Wani Swaka (198-F-01) tossed in 21 points in the win. China posted a 23:17 lead after ten minutes.
