Dewarick
Spencer
Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (Pepsi LBL) signed experienced 34-year old American guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas State, agency: Higher Vision Sports). It is actually his comeback to Beirut as he has played here before. Spencer played last season at Guaros in Venezuelan LPB league. In four games he had very impressive stats: 20.5ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.5apg and 2.0spg. Spencer also played that season for SK Knights in KBL where in 41 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 15.7ppg, 3.4rpg and 2.4apg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Spencer played in the final of Venezuelan LPB in 2015. He was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-WABA League Player of the Year back in 2012.
Spencer played at the WABA Club Championships four years ago.
He is quite experienced player. Spencer has played in eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in China (Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank and Jilin Tigers), France (Le Mans), Greece, Iran (Petrochimi), Italy (Virtus Bologna), Turkey (Anadolu Efes), Ukraine (Budivelnyk) and Lebanon (Sagesse and Al Moutahed).
Spencer attended Arkansas State until 2005 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
He could be described: Dewarick Spencer is a tremedous three point shooter one of the best in NCAA D-1 during his college career. Spencer is a good defender and fairly athletic with the ability to play both the 1 and 2 positions equally as well. Showed great skills in French league, winning every single individual accolade one can imagine. Puts a great intensity on defense and has the ability to play above the rim to go along with his good shooting mark.
