Morocco - Iraq 93:50
Morocco marched into the semifinal stage of the Arab Nations Cup. They thrashed Iraq at the quarterfinal stage. Iraq entered the game with three wins in preliminary round. But this time they could not challenge ambitious Morocco.
Morocco looked dominant in the starting frame. They shot down their opponents to take a 27:14 lead after ten minutes. Iraq could not pick up the slack in the second stanza. The African side established a 32-point lead at the interval. Morocco continued to mount the pressure in the third quarter. They posted a comfortable 74:38 advantage at the final break. Iraq had nothing to answer with and gave up in the fourth quarter. Younes Idrissi (204-F/C-84, agency: Pro Management Agency, college: Iona) fired 25 points for Morocco. Ahmed Munshid (195-F-84) replied with 13 points in defeat.
Morocco will now take on Egypt in the semifinal stage at the tournament.

Lebanon - Libya 82:54
Lebanon remained undefeated at the Arab Nations Cup. The hosts registered the fifth straight win. They held off Libya to earn the spot in the semis.
Lebanon dominated right from the start. The home team posted a 14-point lead ten minutes into the game. Libya stopped the bleeding in the second term. They held Lebanon to 12 points and did not allow the deficit to grow. But the third term proved the difference. Lebanon outscored Libya to earn a 25-point advantage at the final intermission. Libya could not recover in the fourth stanza and had to surrender at the end. Fadi El Khatib (199-F-79, agency: Pro Management Agency) scored 26 points to pace Lebanon. Mohamed Youssef (86) answered with 17 points for Libya. Lebanon will take on Algeria for the spot in the Final tomorrow.

Algeria - Saudi Arabia 72:62
Algeria recorded a tough win over Saudi Arabia at Arab Nations Cup. Algeria thus advanced into the semifinal stage. They will face Lebanon in Beirut on Wednesday.
The teams stayed close in the opening frame. Algeria eked out a 15:12 lead at the first intermission. Saudi Arabia were ready to challenge their opponents. The Asian team erased the deficit and posted a 32:31 lead at the interval. Algeria struck right back in the third quarter. They established a two-point advantage with ten minutes to go. Algeria stayed calm and determined in the fourth quarter. They limited Saudi Arabia to only 14 points in the final stanza. Algeria thus rolled to a tough win at the end. Nabil Saidi (200-F/C-80) came up with 19 points to pace Algeria. Ayman Al Mowalled (88) responded with 17 points for Saudi Arabia.

Egypt - UAE 85:51
Egypt eased into the semifinal stage of the Arab Nations Cup. They held off UAE in the first quarterfinal clash yesterday. Egypt will now take on Morocco for the spot in the championship game.
UAE put up a decent fight in the starting frame. They trailed by only one point 16:17 after ten minutes. But Egypt gradually took over. They knocked down 20 points in the second quarter and posted a 37:30 lead at the interval. The third term turned disastrous for UAE. They accounted for only 7 points and allowed Egypt to clear off. UAE faced a 22-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter. Egypt maintained the tempo in the final period. They easily kept their opponents at distance and rolled to the victory at the end. Moumen Abou Elaynayn (199-F-86) knocked down came up with 14 points to pace the winners. Ayoub AlBalooshi (190-F-81) replied with 14 points for UAE.

Champville from Lebanon signed back its former player Jasmon Youngblood (195-G-84, college: Kent St.) to join the team back for Arab Cup Championship that will take place in Abu Dhabi UAE.. Also, the team signed Sagesse Ex-player Garnett Thompson to be the third foreigner with Youngblood and Lee Benson. As for Riyadi, the three foreigners will be: Nathanel Johnson, Loren Woods and Ahmad Ismaiil. FINAL Lebanon - Egypt 57:60 Egypt celebrated the title at the Arab Nations Cup. They shocked hosting Lebanon in front of more than 6,000 spectators in Beirut.
