Best Guard:Chudney Gray (188-G-78) of ASU (Very talented player, who can play both guard positions, with an impressive variety of offensive moves; needs to play in the right system, but when he's hot he can kill you.) Best Forward:Tim Pickett (193-G/F-81) of ASU (Tim is a very talented basketball player who is a great shooter and strong ball handler. He always plays with great intensity and was our most talented player. He has an NBA body, is fast and attacks the basket.) Top Scorer:Fadi El Khatib (197-F-79) of Riyadi (Probably the top prospect in his country. Great one-on-one scorer; scores in and out; great athleticism and wing span; Big time player. After Yao Ming (Houston Rockets), Fadi is arguably the next best prospect in Asia. Michael Jordan was quoted in the New York Times, ' Fadi El Khatib believes Lebanon's premiere player should be in the league.') Best Defensive Player (two players selected): Christopher Garnett (211-C-80) of Manama (Has great size, good post moves, good defensive skills, can shoot the ball, and very dominant in the post. Has great hands, excellent footwork, and runs the floor extremely well for a big man. Has a positive attitude and very good work ethic.) and Rolando Howell (206-C/F-82) of Sagesse (An inside player with fantastic leaping ability, who can jump 2 or 3 consecutive times to rebound and/or block shots. Can score inside, needs to add range to his shot, because his future could be at PF, even at NBA level) Best Domestic Player:Ahmad Ismail (201-F-76) of Riyadi (He has the ability to score against his defender from inside and outside. He has a great fade-away move and great footwork. He has good ball handling. He will rebound at both ends of the floor. Ahmad is a real tough player who works very hard.) Best Import Player:Marcus Melvin (203-F-82) of Sagesse (Marcus Melvin is a lefthanded PF, who fills the paint with his big body; has a great timing for the rebounds, good hands and shoots well, even behind the 3pts arch) Best Newcomer:Rodrigue Akl (185-G-88) of Sagesse. (Hes only 21 years old..he makes himself a big number in the 22nd Arab champions. He was doing (from bench) a great job for his team in offense and defense)
