The most surprising game was the first loss of Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL (7-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Vietnamese Saigon Heat (3-2) 121-115. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Hong Kong ELL. Saigon Heat made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Strangely Hong Kong ELL outrebounded Saigon Heat 58-37 including a 25-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Saigon Heat made 7 blocks. American Michael Williams (-91) stepped up and scored 39 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) chipped in 29 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!).
