David Palmer signs at Saigon Heat - Dec 25, 2012

Saigon Heat (ASEAN League) landed 26-year old American power forward David Palmer (206-113kg-86, college: N.Kentucky). Palmer managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). He played in the summer at Sichuan in Chinese NBL league. In 5 games he averaged impressive 36.8ppg and 14.6rpg. He also played at Tennessee Dragons in UBA that season. In two games last season he had very impressive stats: 18.0ppg, 14.0rpg, 4.5apg and 1.0spg. The other team Palmer played that season for was Bighorns in D-League. In 18 games he had 4.9ppg and 3.8rpg. Another team he played that season for was Bakersfield Jam in D-League. In 25 games he had 8.8ppg and 6.7rpg.
His team made it to the UBA Semifinals.
Palmer received All-UBA Honorable Mention award in 2012.
The previous (10-11) season Palmer played at Polonia W-wa in Polish 3Liga. In 21 games that year he had 7.6ppg and 6.0rpg.
Last year (three years after he left the college) Palmer was drafted by Bakersfield Jam (D-League) in fourth round (9th overall).
The former Northern Kentucky University standoutis in his fifth season in pro basketball.

There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in ASEAN League. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. Round 15 in ASEAN League means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Nanhai where host Chinese Chongson (12-5) beat league's leader Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL (12-5) 87-76 on Tuesday evening. ChongSon routs Formosa to tighten grip on ABL lead - 3 days ago
Chongson KungFu cruised to its fifth straight victory after clobbering the Formosa Dreamers, 105-83, on Saturday in the Asean Basketball League at the Changhua Stadium in Taiwan. Fil-American Mikh McKinney (184-G-92, college: Sacramento St.) scored 29 points for the visitors as ChongSon stayed in first place in the standings with a 14-5 record.
